Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Shake vigorously until well combined and emulsified.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Add more honey for sweetness or vinegar for tang.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Shake well before each use as the oil and vinegar may separate.
- Serve over your favorite salad greens or use as a marinade for vegetables.
